Ingredients
Freshly picked field peas,5 gallon bucket,shelledEnough water to cover the Peas2 pieces low sodium Bacon4 dashes of pepper1/4 tsp. Soul food seasoning1 very willing Kid to shell them!!!
Directions
Shell Peas. rinse and clean peas thru 3 washings. Add Peas to pot and cover with water add the list of ingredients BOIL about 30 minutes till Peas are soft..Enjoy.

    How large is a serving?
    I used a piece of smoked sausage in mine and let DH have the sausage. No add'l spices needed with the sausage.
    I used frozen purple hull so the washing wasn't necessary but will be when my crop comes in! Thank you!!
