1 C FARINA CEREAL1 1/2 TBSP OIL DIVIDED1/4 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS1/4 MEDIUM RED ONION1/4 C PEANUTS6-8 CURRY LEAVES1/2 CHILI PEPPER OR TO TASTE1 TBSP CURRY POWDER2 GARLIC CLOVES1 1/2 C WATER1/4 TSP SALT
Toast the Farina with 1/2 Tbsp cooking oil in a heavy bottom pot, until light brown. Set aside.
Heat 1 Tbsp cooking oil add mustard seeds until 1/2 are popped. Add onions, peanuts, curry leaves, chili peppers(jalapeno), curry powder, and garlic. Saute' until onions are translucent. Add water, salt, and bring to boil. Then add Farina , reduce heat to low, and stir until water is absorbed.
