Whole Grain Waffles

Ingredients
1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. whole wheat flour 1/4 c. quick-cooking oats 1 Tbsp. yellow corn meal 1/3 C Wheatgerm2 Tbsp. brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. low-fat milk 2 Tbsp. canola oil
Directions
Mix dry ingredients together in a medium size bowl. In separate bowl, mix wet ingredients until well blended. Add to dry ingredients with a whisk or fork until most of the lumps are gone. Pour approx. 1/4 Cup of batter onto each waffle iron section. Cook in waffle iron until browned, about four minutes each.

Serving suggestions: Serve with sliced fresh peaches (zero points) and a half cup fat free cottage cheese (1 pt) for a filling breakfast with a four point total.
