Cheese Tortellini with Cherry Tomatoes and Corn

9 oz. cheese tortellini10 oz. frozen corn1/2 tsp garlic2 cups cherry tomatoes-quartered1/4 cup scallions sliced1/4 cup fresh basil (or about 1 tsp dried)2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated1 tsp olive oil1/8 tsp pepper
Cook tortellini in boiling water for 3 minutes, omitting salt. Add corn and cook for an additional 3 minutes or so and drain well. Put garlic in a piece of waxed paper and rub the insides of a large bowl, discarding the rest. Add tortellini mixture, tomato quarters, and remaining ingredients. Toss gently to coat. Serve warm. Makes 6, 1 cup servings.
