Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
Directions
- 1 medium chopped onion- 1 cup coin like chopped carrots- 1 cup chopped green pepper- 1 cup chopped celery- 1 cup chopped mushroom- 3 cloves garlic- 2 tbsp olive oil- 1/4 cup red wine (merlot)- 28 oz tomato sauce- 28 oz diced tomatoes- 6 oz tomato paste- 1 lb ground turkey- 1 tbsp dried basil- 1 tbsp dried oregano- 1 tbsp dried parsley- 2 bay leaves- 1 tbsp white sugar- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
-saute my onion/garlic in olive oil
-then pour in the red wine (merlot)
-reduce it down (makes the flavor a little richer and deeper)
-brown meat
-Then I pour in the rest of the ingredients
-put in slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours
