1 pound ground sirloin1 TBSP olive oilI cloves garlic, minced1 green pepper, chopped1 No. 2 can stewed tomatoes1 can kidney beans, reduced salt (optional)1 tsp. salt (or to taste)1 tsp sugar1/8 tsp. paprika1/4 or more tsp. chili powderfew drops Tabasco sauce (optional)
Heat oil in heavy 3-quart saucepan. Saute meat, onion, garlic, and pepper until meat is browned. Add tomatoes, kidney beans with liquid, and seasoning. Cook slowly for 45 min, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
*For lower sodium use Bush's Reduced Sodium Dark Red Kidney beans (sodium 130mg) and stewed tomatoes with lower sodium.
