No Fry Refried Beans

Ingredients
1 lb Pinto Beans (rinsed and sorted)Water for soak/boil and 2 - 3 cups for mashing8 TBSP favorite salsa2 TBSP Onion Powder2 TSP Salt1 TSP Apple Cider Vinegar1 TSP cumin
Directions
Place Beans in a large pot of water bring to rapid boil for 2-3 minutes. Drain and rinse, refill large pot with water and beans.

Cook beans over medium heat for 3-4 hours checking occasionally adding water if needed. (you want to keep beans always submerged) Once beans are soft enough to mash, drain out all water setting about 3-4 cups aside.

Add Spices, Vinegar, and Salsa, mash beans with potato masher and slowly add water as needed until desired consistancy is reached.
