Chili-Mac Skiller (Better Homes & Gardens)

1 lb. ground beef3/4 cup chopped onions1 can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 8-ounce can tomato sauce1 can stewed tomatoes1/2 cup elbow macaroni1/4 cup water1 4-oz. can diced/chopped green chilli peppers, drained2 to 3 tsp. chili powder1/2 tsp. garlic salt1/2 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
1. In a large skillet cook meat and onions till meat is brown and onions are tender. Drain off fat.
2. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, uncooked macaroni, water, chili peppers, chili powder, and garlic salt. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or till macaroni is tender, stirrin often. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and heat about 2 mintues more or till cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings.
