Short Rib Stew by Mary

3 pounds beef short ribs with bones1 pound baby red new potatoes5 carrots, sliced1/8 - 1/4 cup maple syrup4 cups beef broth2 tbsp gluten-free flour
Braise the ribs under a broiler until just brown. Turn and brown on each side.
Transfer the ribs to a slow cooker and add the beef broth. Cook on low for 3 hours or high for 2 hours. Remove the ribs, debone and shred the beef.
Add the flour to the broth and stir. Return the beef to the pot and add the vegitables and syrup. Cook for an additional 3 - 4 hours (low) or 2 hours (high). Skim the fat and serve in bowls.
