Turniproot-Potato Soup

Ingredients
0.25 cups butter2 small onions, diced1 garlic clove, minced2 turnip roots, diced2 cups potatoes, diced4 cups vegetable broth7 oz whipping cream (half and half)salt pepper
Directions
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onions and garlic and sautee lightly. Add the turnip roots and the potatoes. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Simmer on medium heat for about 15 minutes till turnip roots become soft. Blend soup in blender and pour back into saucepan. Then stir in the cream. Add salt and pepper.

Serving Size: makes 6-8 servings
