Hamburg, Cheddar, Macaroni Toss

Ingredients
1.5 cups uncooked elbow macaroni or any other pasta, I like egg noodles for the extra protein1 lb. ground beef1 C chopped yellow onion2 garlic cloves3 TBL tomato paste1 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)1/2 tsp oregano1 can diced tomatos (I use petite)1 Cup colby Jack cheese1/4 tsp salt1/8 tsp freshly gound pepperoptional spices, basil, italian seasonings
Directions
Prepare pasta/egg noodles, omitting salt and fat. Drain and set aside.
Brown ground beef, cook until browned, stirring to crumble. Remove with slotted spoon. Add onion and garlic to pan, saute 2 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, seasonings and tomatoes; cook 2 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally. Stir in macaroni/pasta, beef, and cheese, cook 1 minute or until cheese melts. Stirn in salt and pepper.
