rice with lentils

100 grams short white rice...about half cup,.....100 grams yellow or red lentils....also half a cup.......2tsp oil...any kind......half tsp grounded ginger ..........half tsp turmeric .....some salt ..........one medium squares chopped tomato
mix the rice with the lentils and wash them good......ps:wash them just before using them.............chop the union into very small squares.......fry it using the oil.........it will be sticky if you used a regular pan .....use a ti-val one .......when the unions gets golden near to brown....add the turmeric and the ginger.......add the perfectly washed rice&lentils to the mixture.....then mix them keep stirring for 2 min ...add favourite amount of salt better not too much....& half tsp sugar ....mix again.....add water till it coveres just above the mixture do not use much water ...just 250 grams.....cup and a quarter one..............decrease the heat ...and leave it to cook for 20 min or little more.....check on it every 5 min........then serve with the chopped tomatoes above it ...........enjoy
