squash and onions

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter 2 cups onions, chopped8 cups summer squash, slicedsalt and pepper to taste
Directions
Chop onions. Melt butter in large heavy pot. Add onions. Cook on medium low while cutting squash. Add squash. increase heat to medium and cook gently, stirring occasionally till squash is tender, approximately 30-40 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
