Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef46 oz. can V-82 c. hot water1 c. dry lentils1 c. chopped carrots1 c. chopped celery1 c. chopped onion3 c. shredded cabbage1 c. chopped green bell pepper1 bay leaf1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Brown ground beef and onion. Transfer to crock pot and add all remaining ingredients. Cook on low 10 hrs. Remove bay leaf before serving.

    this was excellent soup. I only added half as much V8 because that was all I had, but I added additional water to make up the ounces. I also added 4C water instead of 2. Did not have a bay leaf, so I added 1t tarragon, 1/2t cardamom, 1/2t curry, and 1/2t garlic powder with red pepper.Made 18 cups - 8/30/09
