Black Bean Quinoa Burger, Spicy

1/4 c. dry quinoa1/2 sm. onion, finely chopped2 T. chopped sundried tomatoes, oil blotted off3/4 c. cooked black beans1 clove garlic, minced2 tsp. dry steak seasoning4 whole-grain burger buns
1. Make the quinoa: Stir together the quinoa and 3/4 c. water in a small saucepan, and season with salt. Bring to boil, then cover, reduce heat to med-low, and simmer 20 min. until liquid is absorbed.
2. In a medium skillet, cook onion and tomatoes on med. heat for 4 min. Stir in one-half of the black beans and all of the garlic, seasoning, plus 1 c. water. Simmer until most of liquid has evaporated. Transfer this mixture to a food processor, add one-half of the quinoa, and process until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to bowl and add the rest of the black beans and quinoa. Mix thoroughly.
3. Preheat oven to 350, coat baking sheet with oil. Shape beans mixture into 4 patties and place on prepared sheet. Back 20 minutes (until patties are crisp on top), then flip with spatula and back another 10 minutes. Serve on buns.
