Ingredients
10 strips of thick cut baconI bag shredded cabbage and carrots1/4 c. minced onion3 tsp sugar2 to 3 T apple cider vinegarCaraway seed (optional)
Directions
Cut the bacon into one inch pieces. Place in large pot and brown until crisp. Remove all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat. Add cabbage and onion and stir to combine. Cover and let the cabbage cook on low for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir. When cabbage is wilted, add vinegar and sugar.You may want to add more or less vinegar/sugar depending on your taste. Some people like to also add a little caraway seed at this time. Stir to combine and season to taste.
