White Cheddar Cheese Soup with Pasta and Smoked Sausage

One 6.2 oz. package Farmhouse® White Cheddar Pasta 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine 1 cup onion, chopped 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 8 oz. smoked sausage, diced into 1/4-inch pieces 1-3/4 cups water 2-3/4 cups milk 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated Salt and pepper to taste
1.In medium saucepan, heat butter or margarine. Add onion, red bell pepper and garlic. Cook until onion and red bell pepper are soft, about 5 minutes.
2.Add sausage and cook 3 to 4 minutes. Add pasta, contents of seasoning packet, water and milk and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and low boil for 18 minutes, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender.
3.Stir in cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Serving Size: Makes about four 1 & 1/2 cup servings
