Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine1/3 cup applesauce1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup brown sugar, packed1 tsp vanilla extract2 eggs1 tsp baking soda1 tsp salt1 1/2 cups white flour1 cup wheat flour
Directions
Cream together butter, applesauce, and both kinds of sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Beat until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix. Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon about a golf ball size portion onto a cookie sheet that has been coated with nonstick spray. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
