Simple Russian Style Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 3 large apples (about 580 g, shredded or cubed);- 3 eggs;- 250 g sugar;- 1 stick of butter (113 g);- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla sugar;- 1 tsp baking powder; - 1 cup (about 250g) Lifeway Lowfat Kefir (substitutes -plain yogurt, buttermilk, sour cream);- 500 g all-purpose flour.
Directions
Preheat oven to 200C. Place a stick of butter to the baking pan and place into oven - you will grease the pan while softening / melting butter. Whisk / beat eggs with sugar and vanilla extract. Add melted butter, continue whisking. Add baking powder, then flour and kefir. The batter should be at sour-cream consistency, so add kefir gradually. At last, add shredded or cubed, or sliced apples and mix. Transfer to the greased pan.
