Slow Cooker Chicken with Italian Squash

Ingredients
4 Patty Pan summer squash 2 large tomatoes1 large onion2 tsp garlica pat or two of butter (can be omitted)1 small roasting chickenbasilpaprikasaltpepper
Directions
Dice onion and chop squash and tomatoes into large pieces, then add to the slow cooker crock. Put garlic over the top and (if you choose) add the butter. Place chicken over the top of the veggies. Season to taste the veggies and the chicken with basil, salt and pepper. Season the chicken to taste with paprika. Slow cook for about 8 hours. I use the high setting because the chicken is often not fully thawed prior to cooking. You can use your discretion as slow cookers vary.
