Easy Minestrone Soup

Ingredients
Spray a saucepan with Pam and saute 2 chopped diced carrots, 3/4 cup chopped onion and 1/2 cup chopped green or red peppers until tender . In the meantime, put 2 cups chicken broth, 2 cans tomato sauce, 1 can garbanzo beans (drained and rinsed), 1 can white kidney beans (drained and rinsed), 2 cups chopped cabbage and 1 can diced tomatoes in large stock pot. Add vegetables and bring to a boil. Season with italian seasonings such as basil, oregano, parsley and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 - 45 minutes. May need to add more water to thin broth if it is too thick. Cook 1 cup macaroni according to package and drain. Bring soup to a boil and add cooked pasta. Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired (not added to nutritional value).
