chocolate honey wheat pancakes

Ingredients
3/4 cup whole wheat1/4 cup unbleached flour1/2 tsp baking soda1 tsp baking powder1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder1 tsp salt1 tsp allspice3/4 cup lowfat buttermilk1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk1 egg2 tbsp grape seed oil2 tbsp honey
Directions
wisk together all dry ingredients EXCEPT baking soda. Lightly wisk the egg, then add it to the dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, almond milk, oil and honey. Mix the mixture enough to wet the dry ingredients. Add the baking soda and wisk into the mixture.

Turn on griddle to 400 degrees and let heat up for about 10 minutes. Pour batter onto griddle until bubbles begin to show on the topside of the pancakes. Flip. Remove pancakes after about three mintues.

Feel free to use 1 cup of whole wheat and you may add wheat germ, if desired.
