for the dough:500g wheat flour17g baking powdersome salt100g margarine or butter100g sugar250ml 1.5% milk (or other milk)60g raisinsfor the "frosting":2 egg yolks100ml 1.5% milka bit of sugar
mix flour and baking powder with salt and margarine (that you cut up into little pieces before) with your fingertips until the margarine is no longer visible. Add raisins and milk. Mix and knead well. Wrap the ball of dough in some celluphane and put it in the fridge for an hour.
Preheat the oven on 200°C. Roll the dough on a floured surface until it is about 2.5cm thick. Prick out about 20 5cm diameter rounds with a glass or something alike. Put them on a baking pan covered with baking paper. Mix 2 egg yolks, milk and some suagr and glaze the rounds twice before putting them in the oven. The should bake 10-12 minutes until they turn golden-brown.
You can serve them warm with (clotted) cream and jam or butter.
