Meaty Cabbage & Beer

1 large onion, sliced1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 head (2-1/2 cups) cabbage1/4 cup diced tomatoes1/4 cup light beer1/2 pound 93% lean ground beef
After chopping and slicing vegetables, brown onion in skillet with salt, adding beer and water to prevent burning and add flavor.
Once onion is translucent, add meat and cook until pink.
Add chopped tomatoes, cabbage, and cover, adding water as needed until cabbage is at desire doneness. (about 10 minutes).
Serve.
