Southern Corn Chowder

Ingredients
2 Slices of bacon1 onion chopped1 clove of garlic2 Tbsp chopped bell pepper2 diced potatoes3/4 c diced celery2 cups chicken stock1 cup evaporated1 1/2 ears of corn or 1 can of whole kernal corn1 can of cream of corn1 Tbsp of room temperature butter2 teaspoons flourSalt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Cut bacon into 1/4 inch diced and brown in bottom of a saucepan. Add onion,garlic and pepper; saute 5 minutes.
Add potatoes, celery and boiling stock. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer over low heat until potatoes are tender. Add corn and evaporated milk. Blend together butter and flour , gradually add to chowder.
Cook, uncovered over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until soup is thickened. Be careful not to scorch bottom.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
