Curried Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
Olive Oil, 2 tbsp (remove)Onions, raw, 1 large (remove)Carrots, raw, 1 medium (remove)Garlic, 8 clove (remove)Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 8 cup (remove)Water, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)*America's Choice Yellow split Peas 1/4 cup dry, 8 serving (remove)Curry powder, 2 tbsp (remove)*Cumin seed, 1 tbsp (remove)Bay Leaf, 1 tbsp, crumbled (remove)
Directions
1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Add onion; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add carrot and garlic; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Add remaining ingredients except parsley; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer uncovered until peas are tender.
Ladle into shallow bowls; garnish with parsley.
