Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey, 20 oz pkg Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes, 28 oz Pacific Natural Foods Organic Free Range Chicken Broth, 12 cups Bell Pepper, fresh green, 1 each CABBAGE green, 2 cups2 Tbs dried onions1 Tbs granulated garlic3 Tbs cumin3 Tbs oregano3 Tbs chili powder (or use chili's in adobo)Chipolte Tabasco Sauce, to tastechili powder
1. Saute ground turkey with onion and garlic powder. I usually use fresh, but for this, I just used granulated/dried.
2. Add chopped green pepper.
3. Add the chopped tomatoes.
4. Add the chicken broth.
5. Add cumin, chili powder, oregano, pepper, chipotle Tabasco sauce.... all to taste. I would say I used 3 T of all the spices and maybe 1 of the Tabasco.
6. Add the chopped cabbage.
7. I let this simmer for about an hour. The longer you cook anything, the better it tastes! I'm italian... we cook with our senses and slowly.
