* *Flour, white, 2.5 cup (remove) * Cloves, ground, .5 tsp (remove) * Nutmeg, ground, .5 tsp (remove) * Cinnamon, ground, .5 tsp (remove) * Cardamom, ground, .25 tsp (remove) * Allspice, .25 tsp (remove) * Ginger, ground, .25 tsp (remove) * Pepper, black, .25 tsp (remove) * Baking Powder, .25 tsp (remove) * Lemon Peel, .25 tsp (remove) * Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove) * Butter, salted, 1 cup (remove) * Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed (remove) * Walnuts, .5 cup, chopped (remove)
Oven to 375
Cream sugar, eggs and butter
In separate bowl mix dry works except for nuts. Add slowly to wet works and mix well. Once flour and spices are all incorporated, mix in nuts.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for a minute or two. Roll cookies in powdered sugar, then cool for another minute, then roll one more time in powdered sugar.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen
