2 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. ground cumin1 tsp. minced garlic1/2 tsp. oregano 1 lb. ground beef2 8 oz cans tomato sauce1 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and dranined1 8.75 oz. can whole kernel corn, undrained1 4.5 oz can chopped green chilies, undrained6 whole wheat tortillas (8-inch)2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
brown ground beef with onion in a large skillet, drain. Add tomato sauce, beans, corn and green chilies, mix well. Stir in all of the spices. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer on low 5 minutes.
Spread 1/2 cup beef mixture on bottom on 9X13X2 greased baking pan. Top with 3 of the tortillas, over lapping as needed. Layer with 1/2 of the remaining beef mixtrue and 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Serving Size: Makes 12 servings
