Ingredients
Directions
20 Long Fresh Green Beans2 Cloves of Garlic (minced)1 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive OilSalt/Pepper to taste
Boil water to slightly cook beans.
Trim the ends off the beansafter washing them.
Add the Beans to the boiling water, cook for under 10 minutes, make sure the beans are cooked yet crunchy. (For me once they turn bright green)
In a large fry pan heat up the Olive Oil.
Once the Olive Oil is hot, toss in the Garlic and the Salt & Pepper.
Keep the garlic moving in the fry pan, it should just start to brown when you add the beans.
Take the beans from the water to the frying pan.
NOTE: Use tongs and shake as much water off as you can, some is okay. The water will make the hot oil 'POP' and might burn you. (I have made this recipe a dozen times and I havent gotten burned, but it will make you jump).
The trick now is to keep the beans moving in the pan.
Cook them for approx. 4-5 minutes, and serve
Makes 2 servings over about 10 beans (I use Long green beans, they look a lot better and are easier to handle with tongs).
