classic black beans

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil1/2 cup onion chopped1/4 cup green peppers, chopped2 cloves of garlic1 15.5 oz can black beans, undrained3/4 water1 tsp oregano1 packey of sazon 1tbsp white wine or cider vinegar.
Directions
heat oil in a med. saucepan over med. heat, Add onion, pepper and garlic: cook until tender, about 8-10 min. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 10 mins.

    A very flexible recipe. I used 2-3 stalks of celery in lieu of green pepper, no garlic and 1.5c of beans that I had prepared from dried (roughly 1/2 lb = 3c). I am going back for seconds right now.

    While the veg are important components, this really can't be done RIGHT without the vinegar or sazo - 4/11/13
