Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients
1-1/2 # ground beef2 medium onions, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper1 14 oz can tomato sauce1 can water (equal to sauce)1/2 cup uncooked long grain brown rice4 c cabbage, shredded (can buy preshredded bags)
Directions
Brown beef (I used turkey), onions and garlic. Add sauce, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice and cover. Simmer 40 minutes. Place 2/3 of the cabbage in a greased baking dish (I used 13 x 9 glass), cover with 1/2 of the meat mixture. Repeat with remaining cabbage and beef. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. You can serve w/sour cream (I didn't).

Serving Size: Makes 6 portions approximately 3-1/2" by 4".
