Christmas Butter Cookies

1 cup butter3/4 cup granulated sugar1 egg1 teaspoon almond extract1/4 teaspoon salt2 1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 375.
Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in egg and almond extract.
Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually blend into butter mixture.
Roll out dough and shape into 48 cookies.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
