Red lentil-chicken soup

Ingredients
2 cups red lentils (rinsed)1 package (1lb) ground chicken1 chopped good sized onionground cumin (or other spices to your liking)
Directions
Rinse lentils. Bring 4 cups water and lentils to a boil (you can use broth but that is more calories and sodium). Once boiling, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, brown chicken, cumin and onions. I sometimes use garlic salt too. When lentils are done, add the chicken mixture. Taste and adjust any seasonings to your liking. Enjoy!
