Mom and Dad's Quiche

Ingredients
One pie crust1-1½ c shredded cheddar cheese6-8 slices cooked bacon, broken into small pieces5 eggs½ onion diced3 tabasco peppers, minced½ tsp salt1 Tbsp Splenda (or sugar)1 tsp Beau Monde seasoning2 shakes red pepper flakes2 c heavy cream
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425.

Press the pie crust into a 9" pan. Sprinkle the bottom with all the shredded cheddar cheese, then sprinkle the bacon pieces on top of that.

In a bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the onion, tabasco peppers, salt, Splenda, Beau Monde, and red pepper flakes, then mix in the heavy cream.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust, covering the bacon and cheese.

Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Without removing the quiche from the oven, lower the temperature to 350 and bake for an additional 30 minutes or so. Let cool to stiffen slightly before serving.
