Applesauce-Nut Bread

Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar1 cup applesauce1/3 cup canola oil2 large eggs3 Tbsp milk1/2 tsp butter flavoring2 cups flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp ground cinnamon1/4 tsp ground nutmeg1/4 tsp salt1 cup chopped peacns, or other nuts1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
In large bowl, combine the sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs, milk and flavoring. Beat well. Combine the flour, soda, baking powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix into the creamed mixture. Fold in 3/4 cup of the nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan.

Combine the brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and remaining nuts. Sprinkle over top of batter in pan. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with foil. Return to oven for another 30 minutes or until done. Remove from pan and cool on rack.A
