Spicy Black Eyed Peas and Rice

Ingredients
16oz can Jalepeno Black Eyed Peas1.75 cups instant brown rice1.5 cups water1 small onion1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Add olive oil to a medium size sauce pan.
Bring to medium high heat and add 1 small onion diced.
Saute until translucent.
Add water and bring to boil.
Add rice and remove from heat. Stir and cover.
Let sit for 5 minutes.
Fluff and add can of black eyed peas. Place back on stove at medium low heat and let simmer.
