So Good Fakeout Chili

Ingredients
1 12oz box Lightlife brand Smart Ground meatless fat free veggie protein crumbles1 15oz can kidney beans1 15oz can Pinquitos (chili beans)1 28oz can petite cut tomatoes in juice1 envelope chili seasoning1 chopped onion1 chopped bell pepper red or green
Directions
Saute onion and pepper until soft. Add smart ground, and rest of ingredients. Cook 10 minutes on medium heat until hot and bubbly. Enjoy! No one will know that this is 'fake' meat unless you decide to tell them - try it!

    This was great! I changed it a bit. I made a double-batch (doubled the meat crumbles, kidney beans, chili beans, and seasoning, but 1/3 of med a onion and 1 whole red pepper). Instead of tomatoes, I added a large can of tomato sauce for desired thickness. My picky husband had seconds - 4/22/08

    I used kidney beans and black beans and rinsed and drained both to lower the sodium, I also used garlic, chili powder and cumin for the spice and it was really very good - 6/23/08
