Ingredients
Directions
6 oz fresh cranberries, picked over and rinsed2/3 cup blueberries (I used frozen)1/2 cup water1/4 plus 2 tsp sugarzest from 1/4 lemon
In a small saucepan combine cranberries, blueberries, water and 1/4 cup sugar.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, until the berries are mostly broken down. Taste periodically and add the remaining sugar slowly until desired sweetness is reached.
Remove from heat and stir in the lemon zest. I like to smash up the berries a bit more while I do so. Allow to cool on the stove top and then refrigerate.
