Turkey and Dried Cherry Salad

2 cups uncooked gemelli (twist) pasta (8 ounces) 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked turkey 1/2 cup dried cherries 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted 1 medium stalk celery, thinly sliced (1/2 cup) 3 or 4 medium green onions, chopped (1/4 cup) 3/4 cup refrigerated poppy seed dressing
1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
2. In large bowl, mix pasta and remaining ingredients except dressing. Pour dressing over mixture; toss until coated. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until serving.
Substitution
Rotini or juniorettes pasta can be used instead of the gemelli.

Toasting almonds is easy. Just place them in an ungreased shallow pan and bake at 350°F for 6 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
Serve With
Serve this tasty salad with whole-grain rolls, fresh orange wedges and tall glasses of iced tea or lemonade.
