Almond-filled cookie tart

Ingredients
Crust:2 2/3 c. flour1 1/3 sugar1 1/3 butter1/2 tsp saltFilling:1 c. grated chopped almonds1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. lemon peel1 egg, clightly beatenDecoration:a dozen or so whole almonds
Directions
Heat oven to 325. Grease 10 or 9 inch spring form pan. Blend all crust ingredients at low speed till dough forms. Divide dough in half. Spread half in bottom of prepared pan.

Bleand all filling ingreadients except whole almonds (do this in food processor after chopping the almonds). Spread over crust to within 1/2 inch of sids of pan. Press premaining dough between waxed paper and roll to a 10 or 9 inch circle. Remove waxed paper, press dough into place. Garnish with whole almonds.

Bake at 325 for 55-60 minutes until golden brown. Put foil or cookie sheet under pan as it tends to leak.
