Shrimp in the Maharashtrian Manner (Mahdur Jaffrey)

Ingredients
Shrimp, raw, 16 oz Garlic, 4 clove Canola Oil, 2 tbsp Trader Joe's Canned Light Coconut Milk, 0.33 cup Cilantro, raw, 1 tbsp Tamarinds, .25 cup, pulp Ginger (grated ginger root, 1 teaspoon) Salt, .5 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne, .5 tsp Turmeric, ground, 0.15 tsp
Directions
Shell shrimp
Chop one clove of garlic
Crush other 3 cloves
Place shelled shrimp in a bowl with the chopped garlic, turmeric, salt, grated ginger and tamarind
Let sit for about 10 minutes, but no longer
Heat skillet, wok or karhai
Fry 3 cloves of crushed garlic for about 1 minute, until golden
Add shrimp, stir fry for a minute or two, until lightly browned
Turn heat to low medium
Add Peppers and Cilantro
Add Light coconut milk
