2 cups slivered almonds2 cups pecan halves1 cup walnut halves1 C sugar2 egg whites, stiffly beaten6 T Butter
Toast nuts in 325 oven until lightly brown on jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with deep sides). Fold sugar and dash of salt into stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold toasted nuts into meringue. Melt butter in Jelly roll pan. Spread nut mixture over butter. Bake in 325 oven about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes (turn nuts over with pancake turner) until all nuts are coated with a brown covering and no butter remains in pan. Cool on paper towel.
