Ingredients
Directions
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast1/4 c. wheat germ1/4 c. flax seed meal1/2 c. sprouted wheat flour (or plain whole wheat flour)1/2 c. bread flour1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour1 1/2 tsp salt1 1/2 tablespoons honey1 1/2 tablespoons margarine (I used Best Life Buttery Spread)1 1/4 c. light vanilla soymilk
Warm milk to scalding and add margarine to melt.
If using a bread machine, put ingredients into bread machine in order recommended by your machine. I use my machine to mix it but then take it out to raise.
My bread machine calls for wet ingredients first. Combine wet ingredients - honey, milk and margarine - and be sure to add salt with wet ingredients. Then add dry ingredients - flours, wheat germ, flax seed meal, and add the yeast last.
Select the whole wheat or basic bread setting and START!
Serving Size: makes 18 small slices
