Ingredients
2 pounds lean ground beef1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed1 1/2 cups chopped onion1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper1/2 teaspoon dried oregano1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper1 teaspoon salt1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin1/4 cup chili powder
Directions
1. Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, and crumble.
2. In a large pot over high heat (or a large slow-cooker) combine diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, onions, bell pepper, cayenne pepper, oregano, ground black pepper, salt, cumin and chili powder. After the spices are stirred in, add the drained and rinsed beans, and the ground beef. Set the slow cooker on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours. If cooking on the stove, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
