Turkey Lentil Pilaf

Ingredients
Brown 8 oz. ground turkey in a skillet with 1 Tbsp. oil, 1 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped green pepper.Boil 1 cup dry lentils in 2 cups of water. Add browned turkey mixture. Add 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 2 Tbsp. cinnamon, 1 Tbsp. cardamom, 1/2 cup raisins, 1 apple, peeled and chopped. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 45 minutes, or until tender.
