Ingredients
10-12 spears of fresh asparagus1 tbsp of bacon bits2 tbsp of chopped raw onions1 tbsp of olive oil1 tsp of minced garlicsalt and pepper to taste ( I like to use garlic salt and cajun seasoning)
Directions
Wash asparagus and break off ends
break asparagus in half and place in 8" skillet
add 1 tbsp of olive oil and the garlic
add in onions and bacon bits
add desired seasoning
saute' on medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes, stirring frequently
* if you like crunchier asparagus cook less, if you like more tender, cover and cook longer.

    My husband and I are not big fans of asparagus, but I know how healthy it is so we tried this recipe. It was the best asparagus I have had . . . the bacon bits were really good wih it. It was simple to make, and it made just enough for the two of us. - 5/1/08
