Hearty Beef n Barley Soup

Ingredients
1.5 Lbs Lean Ground Beef, Chicken or Turkey1 Cup Diced Onion2 Tetra Packs Low Sodium Beef or Chicken Broth (6 Cups)1 Cup Shredded Carrots1 Cup Diced Celery! 14 oz can Tomato Soup (+water)1 28 oz can Diced Tomatoes1/2 Cup Pearl Barley1 Tbs Parsley1 tsp sugar1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1 tsp thyme
Directions
In large pot (dutch oven) Brown hamburger and onions then drain. In pot put next 7 ingredients and add drained beef and onions. Bring to a boil.
Add spices and simmer 1.5 hours. This is great on a cold, cold day. Serves approx 8
