Chicken apple sausage, apples and brown rice

Ingredients
3 medium apples4 servings cooked brown rice4 chicken apple sausages2 1/3 tbsp maple syrup
Directions
1. Cook the rice separately - should have 4 servings of cooked rice.
2. Peel and dice the apples and then soften them in a large pan sprayed with cooking spray.
3. Cut up sausage (cook thoroughly if not precooked), and add to the apples.
4. After a few minutes, add the rice and stir. Cover and let cook on medium-low for a a few minutes.
5. Add the syrup and stir. Cook until the rice and apples are as soft as you like them.
