Kickin' Chili

Ingredients
2 lbs lean ground beef2 tsp salt1 tbsp each cumin, chili powder, paprika, dried oregano, black pepper2 cloves garlic, minced2 tsp red pepper flakes1/4 tsp ground red pepper1 tbsp vegetable oil3 cans (10.5 oz each) diced tomatoes with green chilies or red peppers1 jar (16 oz) salsa1 lg onion, chopped2 lg celery stalks, sliced1 can sliced mushrooms, drained1 can red kidney beans, rinsed
Directions
1. Combine ground beef, salt, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, black pepper, garlic and red pepper in a large bowl.

2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef, stirring to separate meat. Drain and discard fat. Add tomatoes, salsa, onion, celery, mushrooms, kidney beans; mix well. Transfer mixture to a 6 quart slow cooker.

3. Cover; cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
